Introduce once.Enforce at every machine.

Hundreds of new people every semester, a handful of trainers, expensive machines. Attraccess tracks who has been introduced to what, lets trainers supervise first sessions and enables the machine only for those who are qualified.

Today

Every semester starts from zero.

Workshops grow, trainers rotate, and the list of who may use what lives in someone’s head.

01

Hundreds of new people

Every semester brings new students, every project new external partners. Paper lists can’t keep up.

02

Trainers leave, knowledge leaves

When a tutor graduates, so does the knowledge of who they introduced to which machine.

03

External users and billing

Partners, start-ups and other faculties use the machines too. Machine time has to be billed somehow.

How it works

From semester start to billing.

Students sign in with the university account and tap the campus badge they already carry.

  1. At the start of term

    Briefings and introductions

Lab briefings with an expiry date, machine introductions by trainers per machine or group. Introductions can lapse after months without use.

  2. At the machine

    Tap the campus badge

The Attractap reads DESFire campus badges. Not introduced yet? A trainer taps in to supervise – after a set number of supervised sessions, the introduction is granted automatically.

  3. In the lab

    Machine and extraction on

Flows switch the machine, the exhaust fan or the dust extraction – and switch them off again after the session.

  4. Afterwards

    Projects, billing, maintenance

Sessions are booked to projects and, for external users, billed. Usage hours trigger maintenance.

What you get

Made with a university workshop.

Attraccess grew up in makerspaces and runs at Hamburg University of Technology. These are the features campuses use most.

Supervised sessions and auto-introduction

Trainers confirm supervised sessions at the reader or in the app; after a set number the introduction is granted automatically.

Available

Single sign-on with the campus account

SAML and OIDC with your university identity provider. Groups map to roles automatically.

Available

Campus badges

MIFARE DESFire EV2/EV3 campus badges with an application from your badge issuer.

Available

Projects and billing

Book sessions to projects, charge external users by use and by minute.

Available

Kiosk and printable QR codes

Start a session on a shared tablet or by scanning the QR code at the machine.

Available

Machines, fans and extraction

Relays, PLC outputs and MQTT flows – we set up the first machines with your workshop team.

Set up in the pilot

Non-profit organisations use every feature for free. Whether a university needs a commercial license depends on how it runs Attraccess – let’s talk about it.

“Set up in the pilot” means the software side exists, and we wire, configure and test it with you on site.

FAQ

Questions from campus.

Why a small team

Small team. Direct answers.

Attraccess is built by a small company in Hamburg. For you, that means fewer layers between your problem and the fix.

The engineer on the call wrote the code

No ticket ping-pong through support tiers. You know the people by name – and for the pilot we commission the first readers with you on site.

Your gap becomes our sprint

Missing an interface? We build it with you in the pilot instead of putting it on a roadmap slide. Scope, cost and ownership agreed in writing.

You shape the product

Pilot partners have a direct say in what we build next. Your requirements end up in the product, not at the bottom of a feature-request queue.

Code your security team can read

Attraccess is source-available. Your IT security can review the source code of the server and the reader firmware.

The questions procurement will ask, answered upfront

  • No ISO 27001 certificate. We answer your security questionnaire in full – including the answers that are “no” – and show how we scan our dependencies.
  • No 24/7 call centre. Support hours, response times and escalation are agreed in the contract – and you reach an engineer directly.
  • What if we’re gone? Attraccess runs on your servers, with your data in one folder. Data export, licence continuation and source-code escrow can be part of the contract.
